This Sustainable Travel Framework outlines our principles, commitments, and actions to promote responsible tourism, guiding our business decisions, partnerships, and the experiences we offer our clients. It also demonstrates our ongoing dedication to full transparency and continuous progress in sustainable travel.
Our Commitment to Carbon Neutrality
Avelia Travel is committed to ensuring that the trips we design have a minimal impact on the environment. Our goal is to take full responsibility for the carbon footprint associated with each client's journey. To achieve this, we calculate the total carbon emissions of every trip we organize, including flights, accommodations, and activities, and offset 100% of these emissions through verified carbon offset projects. We make a direct financial contribution to these projects to neutralize the impact of the journeys we create, and this cost is fully covered by Avelia Travel. Additionally, we aim to prioritize low-emission transport options, support eco-friendly hotels, and recommend activities with a reduced environmental impact.

Investing in a Sustainable Future
As part of our broader commitment to responsible tourism, we have pledged to contribute a portion of our profits to sustainability-focused initiatives. We are currently in the process of identifying trusted initiatives, organizations, or charities that promote sustainable tourism, environmental conservation, and community development. This may include reforestation projects, ocean conservation efforts, or social impact programs in local communities. Once our initiatives are selected, a specific percentage of our profits will be allocated to these initiatives. While the exact percentage and recipients are still being determined, our commitment to financial support for sustainability remains firm. We aim to provide clients with insight into the impact of their travels and will publish updates on the causes we support.
Partnering with Purpose
We recognize that we cannot achieve sustainability alone. Our suppliers and partners play a critical role in supporting responsible travel. Therefore, we establish clear guidelines for the partners we choose to work with. We prioritize partnerships with hotels and accommodations that have sustainability certifications or demonstrated practices in energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste management. We work with tour guides, activity operators, and local businesses that share our commitment to responsible tourism. We also encourage our partners to pursue sustainability certifications and improve their environmental and social impact practices.
Commitment to Transparency
Accountability is essential to ensure we stay on track with our sustainability commitments. We will publish an annual Sustainability Impact Report that outlines our progress on carbon offsetting, financial contributions to sustainable initiatives, and the overall environmental impact of our operations.
